Wifi coverage of a large area.

Hi ,
I need cover a large area into a building with 6 AP, for the clients the wifi network must appear like one ssid. The repeater function is not needed, every AP is connected to the lan.
How can I configure my routers? WDS is the answer? The HW is: RB411 with RB52Hn card.

If they are all connected to the LAN via ethernet, then you can just set them up with the wireless bridged to the ethernet port, all access points having the same settings in their security profile, same wireless settings except for the MAC Address (don’t need to set it, it should auto-assign just fine) and stagger the frequencies.

Let’s just say you have them in a grid like:

A B

C D

E F

Then set the frequencies for:
A & D to 2417
B & E to 2437
C & F to 2457

If you use WDS it is if you don’t have them wired back to the LAN. You can use HWMP+ if you want but I don’t see a need for that.
