WiFi internet shared with wired network.

Hi all,

I have a very basic question and I’m very new to MikroTik. I would like to connect my routerBOARD’s wlan1 interface to an existing WiFi network, IE my ADSL router’s WiFi. Once that’s done, I would like to create a DHCP server to which users can connect to to gain access to the internet via the ether1.

If someone can point me in the right direction it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

make from wlan1 a DHCP-client and connect with the wireless interface to the existing accesspoint.

give ether1 an IP-address for example 192.168.100.1/24 set a dhcp server on it.

Then set nat masqurade between wlan1 and ether1

Hi, thanks for the answer, but I am really new and am not sure how to set a masquerade between wlan1 and eth1. Can you maybe help me with that as well.

Also, I am not sure what the “.1/24” portion of the 192.168.1.1/24 means. This is not a serious issue but it would be great to know.

I have this made for you
