I’m trying to set up 951ui-2hnd with 4G LTE dongle (Yota WLTUBA-107, listed as supported http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Supported_Hardware#4G_LTE_cards).
Everything works great with wlan1 disabled. As soon as enable wlan1 interface, 4g lte dongle starts blinking and interface disappears from console and appears back again every several seconds. If I disable wlan1 everything goes back to normal.
How can I fix this?
I’ve just connected LTE dongle with active usb hub and the problem is gone.
I wonder if routerboard isn’t able to provide voltage for both wifi and usb port?
Probably. As far as I can tell, MK support full USB 2.0 power specs but a lot of USB modems in 4G modem attempt to draw more than the 500mA supported by USB 2.0.
Could be a dodgy modem or RB?
No way to tell - I only have singe RB and this kind of modem at the moment =)
