I have a newly set PPPoE Server in my company, well not all the rooms have cable connections some of them need wireless; I have TP-Links 741, 940 and 941.
Now I want to get a cable to one of the routers and set it to give internet connectivity (but not to put a user and password for broad band in it) because we want to set the broad band client in each computer connected to the router.
Please, how do I set the router to do that?
I’ve set the router 3 times:
1- WAN - dynamic IP and put the service cable in it, LAN - DHCP
2- WAN - not connected, DHCP - disabled
Both did not work
3- WAN - broadband (user & PW), LAN - DHCP
Worked but that is not what we want because we’ll use only one client and anyone have the routers password can get internet, we want to restrict that
Any ideas please???
And I have another question:
Why some use a VLAN when we have many LAN ports on the Mikrotik and they make just a single VLAN on the port???
