Have MT with 2 AR5212, 1 AR513 and 1 ethernet all in brigde
3 sector 90 deg Hyperlink 2.4 antena, default forward=off
all fixed on 17 dBm
on 2 sides with AR512 with 30-35 clients on each sides run normal with about tx 5-12 mbit and rx 1-4 mbit/s Act Timing 60-80 wich is ok.
But on 3th side with AR5213 have 1-2 mbit down. and 12-20 kb/s(about <0.2 mbit) uploud (from clients to MT testet with ftp)
signal -61 up to -80 all have fixed antena
Act timing >100 up to 240, it’s set on dinamic
A tryed evryting changing the chanel, data rates, b/g standarts, changed AR5213 with AR5212 same result even changing on chanel 14( wich i get best results but still not good) most of the clients have level 1 wap-0006 with fix. dir. 10dbl antena
Pls for any idea any help
Thx.
Wow 50-60 aps, what do you see on your other aps? Looks like very bad spectrum. Have you tested this sector with the other 2 turned off? depending on your antenna types and spacing you could also have self interference.
I have the same problem with 1 sector and 1 omni AP with mikrotik. In sector is CM9 and in Omni is Prism 2.5. Download or klient is more than 2 mbps and upload from client is max 60 kbps
Omnis are always a problem in a noisy environment like yours I would sectorize all aps (3 x 120) and make sure they have physical separation of 10ft or more if possible. Use a Horizontal polarization as this will get rid of a large portion of you noisy ap’s even the strong ones should drop off 15-25db.
to both of you i STRONGLY suggest to reset the config and not change anything except the SSID and IP addresses. From kdavid’s other posts it’s obvious where the problem comes from.
On the other 2 I got about 30-40 aps, for now on the 3dth side I use ch. 14. I also thing it’s bad spectrum I run some test on the other chanels in the night time I got good result but when the day come all problems return
normis about ‘/system reset’ never tryed but I’ll give a shut
Thx.
