Wifi taking a long time to connect sometimes on RB951Ui-2HnD

So, when I turn the wifi off and then back on (way later.. like 24 hours later) it is taking the smartphones a while to connect back to the wifi after it’s turned on (like 5 mins).

The phones can see that the wifi is on and get a good signal, but don’t always instantly connect.

I didn’t have this problem when I had a RB951 (of course the wifi range was a lot less on the RB951) , and not the new RB951Ui-2HnD with more powerful signal . Is there something I need to fix or is this how it’s going to be ?

Is the signal from the mobile strong enough to get to the Ap?

I believe so.

I looked in the logs and it seems to lag sometimes giving out the IP#'s to the MAC addresses that connect.

It is not so much question of belief but you have to see registration tab and connected devices signal details.

In that case, check the DHCP server. If you’re sure it’s the only (authoritative) DHCP server on the network, set the “authoritative” setting to “yes” instead of the default “after-2sec-delay”.

ViaSat’s (Exede service,) Surfbeam 2 , and probably at their NOC ? , does DHCP too.. I can’t change any settings on their modem.
