WiFi USB Dongle with Omnitik U-5HnD

Hi guys,

Recently bought 6 Omnitiks U-5HnD to create a wifi network in our residential camp. Unfortunately, I just found out that some people are using old phones/laptops which do not come equipped with 5Ghz support. I’m wondering if I stick in a 2.4 USB dongle in the USB port will it recognize it as a wifi card and transmit?

It will recognize it as long it has an Atheros 9271 chipset, but it will not work. Search for 9271 usb on the forum for further details.
