I have my lovely hAP ac with a cable ISP WAN. My devices connect to it using both 2.4 and 5GHz Wifi . I also have an ZTE modem which provides 2.4 Wifi connectivity to itself. Is there a way I can setup up the router to connect to the ZTE modem via WiFi and use it as a backup WAN?

You can write a scheduled script to check the accessibility of the ISP WAN, and increase the distance of its default route bigger than the default route of the ZTE modem.
