Wifi Wave2 with CAPsMAN

I have a site with three RBwAPG-5HacT2HnD (mipsbe) managed by CAPsMAN on a RB4011iGS+ (arm).

I’ve just added a new C53UiG+5HPaxD2HPaxD , but it doesn’t want to show up on the RB4011. Since I have a spare 4011, I installed the wifiwave2 package on it, and the new access point will very happily connect and let itself be managed.

Before I set about resetting one of the wAP AC devices and seeing if I can connect it to the 4011 using wifiwave2, can anyone tell me if this configuration will actually work?

One option is to replace the wAP AC devices with hAP ax2 devices, since the wAP ACs are EOL. But if I can reuse the existing equipment I have for the time being, I’d be very happy.

See help page for wifiwave2.

You can not mix legacy and wifiwave2 devices nor capsman.

WifiWave2 CAPsMAN can only control WifiWave2 interfaces, and WifiWave2 CAPs can join only WifiWave2 CAPsMAN, similarly, regular CAPsMAN only supports non-WifiWave2 caps.
