I’m having a serious issue with Wifi with my Gree AC.
Facts:
Using an iPhone as Hotspot, Gree AC’s app can perfectly send password for this iPhone hotstop, and then my other phone connects to iPhone Hotspot and can control the Gree AC perfectly.
Wish to use MTIK (CAP AX) for this hotspot.
Basic configuration has been set with the same password as with iPhone Hotspot.
Problem:
Gree AC sees the MTIK’s wifi, but when I ask Gree to connect to MTIK, nothing happens.
In the log, I can see nothing wifi related problem.
Can I somehow enable some verbose wifi logging to detect this problem?
802.11ax radios are able to communicate will legacy 802.11a/b/g/n/ac radios. 802.11ax radios communicate with other 802.11ax radios using OFDMA and/or OFDMA. 802.11ax radios communicate with legacy radios using OFDM or HR-DSSS.
However, switching AX back to N solves the problem. I wish to keep AX on 2GHz, what do you recommend?
I have two Gree air conditioners and the wifi network in the house is composed of 3 Mikrotik AX APs. For all smart devices I made a separate wifi network. You can thus make settings in such a way that Gree works and the main wifi networks remain AX.
I wish to keep AX (wifi6) on both 5G and 2G. This way I can make the best wireless coverage and throughput for all devices.
However keeping AX for both wlan0 and wlan1 physical interfaces prevents setting N for any of them.
So to be clear, I wish to use wifi6 on all wlan interfaces. But it seems Gree ACs can’t handle Mikrotik’s wifi6 in spite wifi6 must be backward compatible for legacy devices by the standard.
What would you suggest me in this case? Can I somehow finetune wifi6 to be “more compatible”?
Hi ! Im running Gree AC on “ax3”. I have dedicated 2.4Ghz IoT network (Ax, 20/40Ce, WPA2) for all my “smart devices”. What i find out especially with Gree is, that it accepts ONLY WPA2 encryption = i mean NO WPA/WP2 , WPA2/WPA3, or any other combination. Only WPA2 alone.
My experiences:
Gree Lomo Plus 2017 series and hap ax3 is not working together. I try everything, WPA2 only, AX/AC/N modes, only CCMP Encr. with CCMP Group Encr., only 20 MHz channel wide, every combo.
Wireless log isn’t show any connection trying, or anything related the wifi module of Gree. Totally silence.
The wifi module of the AC is working almost correctly with another AP (not MikroTik) or with a mobile hotspot.
I could upgraded its firmware to v3.75 but it don’t help… I sad almost, because there is some strangeness, the online status of the AC in Gree+ app is disappear time to time, but it came to back online and I can control it from the app. Maybe the wifi module isn’t working total flawlessly.
An another Gree (Comfort Pro) is working perfecly with WPA3/WPA2, 20/40 MHz, ax interface mode, but it connected in N mode to the AP, another AC (AUX AURA) connected in G mode and with WPA2 to the same interface.
