I think it would be so usefull know if available info channel during connection, so I would suggest to place in supported hardware list on wiki page the number of channels available on 3G cards.
If I’m not wrong, I suppose one channel is for “service” only, and so isn’t available neither data or info channel (3 channels → 0=data 1=info 2=available; 2 channels → 0=data and info 1=not available).
On 3-channels cards I can get info during connection, in 2-channels cards I need to set the same channel for data and info, so I need to disable PPP-client to get data.
Is this right?
