Currently I have a 120 hotspot users that connects to AP using Mikrotik OS and the hardware is:
Asus motherboard
intel 1.7 processor
512 ddr ram memory
mikrotik 300mw pcmcia wireless cards 3pcs
Sometimes when all the users are connected they do have some ping timeout’s and I think that the router cpu is overloaded so my question is, if I change the cpu with a intel 2.0 M processor am I going to have better performance or not?

Your problem sems to be more related to RF. I suppose that a machine with 1.7Ghz can handle a lot more traffic.
It depends on what kind of services your provide to end users but in 802.11 eaven in clear area with no interference it is not recommented to connect more than 20-40 users. Since you are also telling us that you use it on the same machine, it can also be that you are self interfering. Also if this is happening just to selective clients check their equipment, maybe you have low signal strengh.
