will renaming ether1=Public result in loss of connectivity?

We have some RB532s running RouterOS for which we did not (re)name the interfaces as, e.g., Public and Local.

Will executing, e.g.

[mikrotik] interface> set 0 name Public
[mikrotik] interface> set 1 name Local

cause loss of connectivity and a resultant truck roll or will the system continue to operate?

This should be fine. Sometimes there is a half second drop but not typically. Anything referencing that ether1 will automatically show the new pointer name.
