hii all.

when we make a base station using 2.4 GHz, we have to face lot of difficulties due to extensive interfence in 2.4 GHz and it also hav only 3 non overlaping channels. some time its very hard to run our network in 2.4 GHz.

But when we see in wireless setting we find 2 GHz-10MHz and 2 GHz-5Mhz aslo,Now my question is if we starting using these two band instead of 2.4 GHz only. can we come out with good results becuase when we do a scan we dont find any network on these band…

will these band will remain uneffected of interfernce by huge number of 2.4 GHz (default & traditional Band)networks in that area.. the client CPE is also a mikrotik gear.

no, this is not related to that. interference can still come on this channel, it doesn’t mean you will see it in scan list. interference can also come from non-wifi devices. to avoid interference use a different frequency. the frequency bandwidth (5 or 10mhz) doesn’t matter so much
