Wimax and LTE new aganist of mikrotik's WISP...

In these days pico chips and wavesat sell your 802.16 WIMAXminipci on 3.5 and 5.8 ghz around 100 $
mikortik is working for support WIMAX cards?

If not what is mikortik strategy for win whit WIMAX and LTE standard that will be very faster than 802.11 ?

Good question.

802.11n还都不支持,怎么支持wimax和LTE啊,Mikrotik的开发速度太慢了,主要还是因为这个公司太小了

I agree

we are working on 802.11n, please wait a few weeks for an announcement. We don’t have any plans for WIMAX yet.

Good.
What’s radio module will be compatible? Can you do a little anticipation?

The delay in this is caused by us trying to achieve great compatibility

Hi Normis,

I need to buy a stock of miniPCI radio module.. if you can do a little anticipation, I can make a better buy

Does the mean EMP-9701??? If so, then i don’t mind.

There has been added Wimax support to the Linux Kernel since 2.6.29
So if Mikrotik add’s the support to the version 4 beta, then it can be tested with Intel Wimax hardware? (x86 only?).
But if there is AP software for the Wimax side of it edontknow…

But why not just buy Wimax AP’s and use RouterOS as the main router?
And another problem is the license for the frekvency… Here where i live is cost both an arm and a leg for one… onless it uses the free 2,4 or 5GHZ area for wifi usage?

hi, few month passed ,still same no plans for wimax?

still no plans

How about wimax 2?

Without MT entering this arena, I have already started bringing the routes inside and not using MT for wireless. Lucky for me how cheap the RB750 is, I can put MT in the network for almost no cost.
