Winbox 4.1 stuck on downloading user logged-in information

Hello, I am trying to connect to a remote RouterOS version 7.22.3, I just get the “Downloading user logged-in information”, I can successfully connect to all my other installations but not into this one.

I tried Winbox 4.1 mac or windows, stuck on Downloading user logged-in information

I tried Winbox 3.43 (32 or 64 bits windows), connects just fine

any suggestion? thank you in advance.

Are you using some kind of VPN to connect to the remote location? If yes, you might need to clamp the TCP MSS to a value suitable for the usable MTU of the VPN connection.

thank you for replying, I tried two ways, via LAN and via WAN (public IP), none worked, but I managed to find the issue, DUDE was installed on the router os, I disabled DUDE and winbox 4.1 connected just fine.

For me it was the Winbox cache. Only one router had this problem while all others worked. Deleted the Winbox folder from AppData and it started working again.
