Or just hope it was read and a decision was made, because the release notes match what was proposed in the 4.4rc

I need drag and drop feature in "Files" for better download experience. (Like old winbox)

A way to freeze the process os Winbox on Windows.

On a router with SEVERAL active connections.

  1. Open /ip firewall connection
  2. Click to load all
  3. Select all the connections
  4. Delete all the connetions

Tho UNnecessary messages notifying that the connections where delete, one per each connection, starts to pop...
The RAM consume of the process go to the moon, it freezes.

Feature Request :
When opening a CDB located in a "non standard" path ; workspaces definitions are still stored in the standard path.

Is it possible to store the workspaces defintions in the CDB file directly OR in the folder containing the currently opened CDB file ???

There is still an issue with romon.
When you connect to romon and chose/click open in new window, it will not connect to romon neighbors prompting that credentials are wrong. If you connect to same romon neighbor with open in new not checked, then you can connect to it.

Another issue with rommon:

If you open sobre screen with several informations, ex:

  • IP Routes (when big)
  • IP Firewall Connections (when big)
  • Bridge Hosts (when big)

The Rommon connection drops... And you need to manuanlly reconect.

I tried to replicate that and failed. Ram consumption sat at 200MB.
How many connections are you talking about? I only have 1500 ish.

Bug report
A report that I would make is that those "removing connection" messages don't automatically clear them selves.
I would also argue they are not needed.

Just an idea that came up related to something I'm doing in Winbox right now: This may be related to the undo cache, as I don't know how big/long it is and there's no way to check/edit it as far as I know.

Given that number, try deleting 64k, 32k etc. See if there is a number it works at.

This happens every time the certificate is signed; afterwards, it becomes impossible to proceed until you log out and log back in. However, the same issue recurs. I have tried using different routers, and the problem is identical in every case.

3 windows:

  • interfaces window open (device has 5 ports)

  • window with Traffic for interface ether 1 open

  • window with Traffic for interface ether 2 open

  • at peak - 3,3GB of memory used - after ~10 minutes of running, Winbox becomes unresponsive

Update :megaphone: memory leak and crash happens when 3D acceleration for VBoxSVGA driver is enabled. After disabling it problem did not occur.

It's not reproducible for me. Did you make sure that your GPU driver is up-to-date?

Probably that driver implementation doesn't properly free texture memory.

The contents of WiFi => Steering => Neighbor Group window (a list of BSSIDs in a dynamic group to be more specific) is not refreshed automatically. To see the updates, reopen the window or toggle Live/Paused button.

I wanted to see how Winbox 4 defaults look like by switching to root user. Did rm -rf .local/share/MikroTik/WinBox instead of rm -rf ~/.local/share/MikroTik/WinBox. What a pity. But now, without backups of .local folder, I am customizing WB4 from scratch. What a pain! I already forgot how painful this is. Scaling, font, etc. I can't recall my settings exactly. Adjusting column widths in all kind of windows because the default column widths are too narrow, re-arranging windows without auto-snap, etc. I feel with all of you, opening WB4 the first time and needing to adjust it to your needs/eyes. This is really a lot of work. While WB3 looked great out of the box. What a waste of time.
