anyone notice everytime reload saved session… “dst.address” column on mangle table not in correct order ?
so winbox session still bugged, after few version update and no one notice the collumn position bug (..unbelievable..)
so.. im back to use old behavior, the none session .. even everytime loading winbox you must repeatly re arrange the collumns.
That is the kind of issue that you can usually solve by throwing away the session file for that device and start again…
But I don’t want to do that, in such a case I would want to open the session file in a text editor, look for the section for ip firewall mangle, delete it, and then re-configure only that window but keep all the others.
(I do not experience this particular issue but I have seen it in other places, e.g. BGP peers)
Also I think MikroTik should to a complete scan of all available windows, check all the column names and make sure there never are any duplicate names. There are too many places where two columns with the same name are present, and in that case selecting a column and saving the session usually does not work.
how? couldnt find any section you mention and not so clearly readable using windows notepad wordpad…
please take a look…
deleting file session also not work..
thanks to moderator . for split and create new thread..
Note that “I would want to open the session file in a text editor” refers to a desired change by MikroTik to make the winbox session files into an editable form like JSON.
At the moment they are binary files and cannot be repaired.
Did you already try to remove the file (or move it somewhere else) while the session is not open, so winbox will make a new file?
Usually problems like this are solved by that.
Of course it means that you unfortunately lose all things you have setup in the session file (but that does not include any router configuration, only display options of winbox).
nope, not working.
just a note hopefully to be addressed by dev that winbox session still contain bugs.
thanks anyway…
Well, I don’t have the problem you mention. So there must be some relation to configuration and/or use.
yes (maybe) only dev able to made modifications,
maybe its affected not to all type of routerboard hardware or maybe doesnt have correlation with hardware just winbox apps and operating system.. dont know.
minor bug but quite annoying.
tested on isolated virtualbox windows xp32 and windows 10x64
it doesnt read position dst address correctly or read it right but doesnt applied correctly.
