try removing winbox and redownloading from the router. Remove all the program files for winbox, on windows XP they are located in your user profile directory. “%userprofile%\Application Data\Mikrotik” remove the entire mikrotik directory, redownload winbox and reconnect.
You stink! Did’ent know about the application data thing! but soon as I did that it worked!
