WinBox disconnects from Mikrotik whenever I open the ip/firewall management

Hello,
I am facing a very strange problem with my laptop and MikroTiks. The problem that I am facing is that whenever I try to configure the ip/firewall on the MikroTik the WinBox disconnects from the MikroTik. This is happening only when I try to configure the firewall, if I try to configure anything else, such as addresses, routers, switch, bridge, etc, the WinBox stays connected. Also note that I have tried this with multiple MikroTiks with the same problem. Also I have tried with different laptops and I do not face this problem. Can someone help me understand what on my laptop is causing this abnormal behavior?

Make sure you connect to the router IP address, not the MAC address.

Are you sure that link between you and router is not fully utilized?

For example, lets say that you have 10M connection and other services are already utilizing link up to 10M. Winbox connection also requires bandwidth and if link is fully utilized already, then there could be lost packets which might lead to disconnect.

Same problem Here.

I’ve multiple hAP ac lite in the same site.
Some of them works fine, others, as soon as I open from winbox IP/Firewall I get disconnected.

I have the same problem. My link between me and router is not fully utilized. And I can connect to mikrotik only with MAC address not with IP. Mikrotik is 750Gr2

I have also same problem. When I open firewall window or PPP Winbox disconnect me :frowning:
I’m able to connect only on MAC address, when I try to connect to IP address then I get “error: could not connect to xx.xx.xx.xx” .

EDIT:
I solved my problem. the whole problem was in the firewall rules. the last rule was to drop everything else except the rules. the Winbox rule was not set, so the connection was dropped and Winbox has therefore always been disconnected. This solved also a problem with connection on IP address.
