Winbox.exe compatability issues with Win 7 Enterprise 64bit

Hey,

I get a “the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you’re running…” Error everytime I try to run Winbox.exe file. I’ve tried using different compatibility modes to no avail.

What’s wrong?

Try disabling the firewall and running Winbox loader with administrator privileges.

I solved it eventually but it had nothing to do with my firewall or privileges.
I somehow downloaded a very old version of MikroTik. A 2.9 I believe.
After Installing the latest it’s winbox.exe fired up perfectly fine.
