Hello.
Maybe it’s a silly question, but I’ve not found a solution.
How to filter in winbox in firewall/connections tab by ip:port.
I’ve entered for example 192.168.0.1:3050, 192.168.0.1/3050 and it doesn’t work. The entered text is turning red and filter doesn’t work.
How to filter by ip and port in firewall connections tab?
When i enter ip address alone the filter works.
greetz.
Take a look at the fields a bit further down in winbox.
You can set port, protocol, address list, interface, … Or excluding those things.
Whatever.
Well you are getting lost in minutia and really need to understand the big picture context…
So what is the user requirement.
What is it as admin that you would like to accomplish (what traffic is needed)
In other words, focus on what you want to allow, the rest will fall in place naturally.
Please take a look at the attachments.
I don’t see sole “port” option in the list. I can see however Dst. Address/Port, but don’t know how to enter this ip address/port pair string. It’s immediatelly turning red.

My bad, I missed the part where you referred to the connections part.
(I thought you were talking about filters).
Just been toying with it to see how it should work and you’re right. Not really clear how that should be done.
But then I found this:
http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/port-based-filtering-of-connections-in-winbox/115142/1
The trick is that specific “Src. Address/Port” label filters on src address OR port.
So you can use it for port
And then you can add a second filter for src address.
That works.
Fully agreed that the filtering on the connections tab is awkward. Not something I use all that often - I’m sure it would be easier if I didn’t have re-learn it almost every time I used it…
I have also found holvoetn’s workaround and it does work…
Now it’s 100% clear to me.
Thank you guys.
