WinBox gives 'Missing RouterOS WinBox plugins' error

Hi everyone!

Problem here: I’m suddenly getting the above-mentioned error when trying to connect to my Mikrotik unit with WinBox. I’m running 2.8.15, but I HAVE been able to access the unit via WinBox before under 2.8.15.

I’ve tried a reboot, but that didn’t help…

Try also I for a lot of days I make setup in a Computer with versions 2.8.13, 2.8.14, 2.8.15, and I have the same problem with same message ‘Missing RouterOS WinBox plugins’ him I have tryed enough times other nothing it does not function.

did you re-download the winbox from the router after upgrading ?

Download from router him I regularly make in the PC me winbox other when I step be connected in this PC it does not play, in other PCS that I have done the same version install it functions regularly and makes connect.

Try connect to 212.89.176.240 for look problem.

Eehh… Not smart! Your box is still accessible via SSH. For the whole world… :smiling_imp:

I got my eventually working again by doing a backup->system reset->restore

In order to you see the problem afterwards I will change ip address and it will also have password no problem.

Both 2.8.13 & 2.815 come with WinBox 2.0.8 :sunglasses:

Update: It worked at the office, but now that I’m back home, it still doesn’t work! :-/

update on the update: WinBox does not work towards my own unit (it does work with other units) on the 2 Windows machines here, but it DOES work on my Linux station! Weird…
