In Winbox, After I reboot the RB I lost all my windows/columns settings. Which seems winbox was retrieving every time I started winbox session.
How do I keep my winbox windows/columns established layout throught the routerboard reboots ?
Config is kept when closing winbox. Close winbox before reboot when you changed layout
I suspect configs are loaded from the RB, there is a progress dialog “Retrieving … preferences” when connecting to RB.
After reboot the winbox config layouts are lost.
Like I said, they are saved when exiting Winbox.
So if you have changed columns/windows exit first from the router.
Connect again and then reboot.
They are saved on the router till the router is up, but when router is rebooted these saved settings are gone.
Try it on your RB.

I guess the behaviour I am experiencing is a standard winbox/rb modus operandi.

make sure you press EXIT in Winbox, not “X”
Did try exactly that to no avail,
- open queues window, add “queued packets” column, exit with [exit] button
- started winbox and verify “queued packets” column is shows up, ok,
- system/reboot
- winbox, missing “queued packets” column in queues window.
RB450G, RoS 6.7
Columns are not saved, just window positions are. More detailed settings like these will be saved in future.
