I have a RB-133 with the 3.0rc11 OS on it. Whenever I connect to the board using winbox and either the MAC address or an IP address, it disconnects me after a minute or so. It doesn’t stay up long enough to make any changes. I am using the 2.2.13 version of winbox. I have tried multiple PC’s and NIC’s all with no luck. One PC is running Win2K, The other Win XP Pro and the last Windows Vista, don’t ask me why. Any help would be much appreciated.
Try with some older version and check getting same problem.
Coz i dont found any problem with .13
Would you have the capacity to factory reset the configuration? Do you get dropped when using SSH?
Might be due to the mikrotik. I have the same problem in here.
The only way to resolve the issue is to assign ip address to the Routerboard. Connect using serial cable and assign an ip to the eth.
After you assign ip address to the Routerboard, try winbox again but using ip address instead of mac-address logging in.
Take note it might be the hardware issue.
Take a look at the changelog - upgrade to the RC13 and use Winbox Loader v2.2.13, don’t forget to use “Clear cache” under Tools button before you start new winbox loader version.
P.S. get a serial cable (usb-to-serial adapter if necessary) it works every time.
yep, rc11 had some of them issues, upgrade to rc13.
I know this may be and old post but I don’t see a solution. Was there one found?
