Winbox: Natural Ordering 1,2,10,11 instead of 1,10,11,2

It would be nice for winbox loader to list saved routers using natural ordering when sorting by IP.. for example when I sort by IP it currently sorts like this:

10.1.1.1
10.1.1.10
10.1.1.11
10.1.1.12
10.1.1.2
10.1.1.20
10.1.1.3

Natural ordering would list them as:

10.1.1.1
10.1.1.2
10.1.1.3
10.1.1.10
10.1.1.11
etc

This is a really really simple fix. Would take one of the winbox coders just a few minutes to complete and would make me and anyone else who is trying to manage hundreds of saved mikrotik devices very happy.. Whaddya say?

strange, never thought that 1,2,3 is more natural than 1,10,11,2,20,22 :blush: kind of used to that ordering in computers.

Well, 1,2,3 is more natural. If PC orders numbers like 1,10,11,2,20, it does not mean it is more natural and more readable than natural sort.

While you are making changes to winbox…

Could we get a option to make folders/groups for routers…
SecureCRT SSH went to this on their connect screen , and it is awesome.
I have routers/servers by groups, and you can expand/collapse them, etc.

Just an idea..

have you seen the Dude ? it is the weapon of choice for administrators of large networks with many devices to connect to.
