Winbox runs on an OS, the actual hardware below should not matter. So, if the PDA uses Windows CE or Linux (with WINE), it should work.

but it dosn’t work under POCKET PC 2003. When I try to run winbox, I see the massage:
‘winbox’ is not valid Pocket PC application

It also dosen’t run on any windows CE… Is it any possibility to do winbox for POCKET PC?
Ok, we will try this on Windows CE.

When my dad was trying to get his stuff to work on Windows CE, all he had to do was compile the program for PPC in Visual C++ … there was a tick box somewhere he missed…
It will be great if winbox will be working on Pocket PC.
thanks in advance ![]()
If someone gets a version that runs under pocket PC - would they post it?
On pocket PC You Could log in to mikrotik in console mode with Pocket Putty (via SSH). But used it on Pocket without external keyboard is very difficult. I checked it on PPC2003 it works.
So, it’s why I would like to use winbox… on my pocket.

I use PUTTY on my Sony Ericsson P900. It works well but there are a few screens that could be better…
eg the bandwidth monitoring of an interface:
On most sreens in routerOS the terminology RX/TX is used but on this one Receive and Transmitted are used, this is frustating because it is wider than the 20 or so (I’ve not counted) characters on the screen so you cannot see the values.
I too would like to see winbox on pocket pc 2003. It would make life better. Especialy when hanging for a 200 foot tower trying to access the MT box and not having to hold a laptop.
