it´s the second time, that i have the following problem with one of my AccessConcentrators:
Router is not accessible via WinBox - the following Error is shown when i try to start Winbox on this router:
“could not geht roteros.dll: damaged file!”
I tried it from two different Computers - no chance to access the router!
I also deleted the Mikrotik folder on my Computer and installed it a new time, but also - no access…
What could be the problem?
Other routers are accessible as ever…
did you re-download the winbox loader from the router? what version do you use?
how do i download the winbox loader from the router?
Version on the router is 2.943 - it is not possible to upgrade at the moment, but 2.943 is still not very old…

Router also lost his password in the last weeks sometimes and supout did also not work - so, atm no access to the router via remote…
had the same problem, i guess its related with the files stored on computer, as you notice when you first login the rb it downloads some files, delete the files in your cache , under documents and setting flder in you local user name. and try it. must work.
okay, i tried to restart this router tonight. After reboot it doesnt come back itself - so i had to drive to the tower…
After Power off/on, the router startet but was not accessible for about 5 Minutes. After that i was able to login and after that everythin looked fine…
BUT - all settings from the last 2-3 Months where gone!
So, it seems to work at the momentan - but i have to change all my settings again…
What could be the cause of such behaviour?
not easy to tell. usually you have to look at console output and see what happened. looks like your router just failed and caused all the other problems. why, nobody can tell without more info
okay, but there was no console available from remote…
so - then i can only pray, that it doesn´t happen again…
