Winbox problem: Using drop downs causes winbox to crash

Dear all,

I have a problem using winbox on my computer. When I try to access a drop down list in winbox, winbox crashes and throws me out.

This happens only on my computer (Win XP Pro Tablet PC edition, running on a Fujitsu-Siemens Lifebook T Series) and happens on all versions of RouterOS - old and new.

I’ve tried to remove all Mikrotik Winbox files on my computer, but this does not help.

I know I can re-install my OS but that takes too much time - and everything else works just fine.

Any advice on this?

I have noticed this problem too.

I am also using Windows XP Pro Tablet PC Edition. (Acer TravelMate C111TCi).

I have tried reinstalling the OS, it has no affect.

we have fixed the tablet pc issue a few versions ago. did you both upgrade to 2.8.23?

I’ll try 2.8.23 later today, to see if this helps. But 2.8.22 gave the same error.

We have built a large WLAN net (100+AP’s) all running on 2.8.17 which we aren’t planning on upgrading yet - since it’s stable and running fine. :slight_smile:

I guess I have to live with Telnet/SSH for a while. :slight_smile:

but anyway, the tablet edition of windows works fine with winbox since 2.8.21 (i think)

I can confirm that WinBox does work with Windows XP Tablet PC Edition in the last version(s)…
