I can telnet to my MT box and run command line, but not savy enough yet. I can run Winbox and connect, connected locally, just not remotely.
After testing, I have found that I can only connect Winbox via the Mac Address, on my LAN. Is this the only way it works.
Mac-Winbox is working on LAN only.
Make sure you have correct IP address and IP route settings on remote router and your computer, then Winbox should work without any problems.
If I can connect via Telnet remotely, the Winbox should work then correct? I was planning on blocking Telnet, but this is my only remote access currently.
If you are not filtering 8291 TCP port, which is default port for Winbox.
Then Winbox IP should work without any problems.
