Hello. I just recently bought MikroTik hAP ax2 (C52iG-5HaxD2HaxD-TC). I am learning networking and wanted to have a device which I can tinker with.
SO.
I installed Winbox, connected to one of LAN ports using default 198.168.88.x address. This router by default has it's all LAN ports and both 2.4 and 5 GHz wifi in one Bridge. But I wanted to change things a little, to see how things work and also to test my knowledge (or lack of it).
Opened Bridge menu ---> ports, and removed ethernet5 from bridge. Opened IP ---> addresses created new with 150.100.50.x and attached it to ethernet5. I changed ip on my laptop to static 150.100.50.xx and plugged into port5. I could browse internet, it works fine, but winbox refused to see router, I can't connect to it to change option further.
I plugged to other port again, changed my laptop to dhcp and winbox sees router again.

I removed both wifi from default bridge and made my own bridge combining both wifis. I made that bridge as dhcp server, attached custom addresses pool. But issue stays, connection works, internet works (I am using that wifi right now) but winbox doesn't see router and I can't connect.
If your configuration was based on the default configuration before the change, then after removing ether5 out of the bridge and manually configuring the IP address on it, you also need to add ether5 to the interface list LAN (under Interfaces -> Interface List) to allow devices connecting to ether5 to manage the router with WinBox.
Same with the new bridge you later added. With the default firewall configuration, that bridge also needs to be part of the LAN interface list.
