WinBox v3.37 released!

feature request
add software-id column in winbox neighbors discovery section.

Any news of native for Linux/MacOS version of winbox ?

It runs on Wine on my laptop with Debian just fine. Even the old Wine in Debian stable repos can run winbox just fine.

add software-id column in winbox neighbors discovery section.

software-id column is available in neighbor window in Show Columns… menu (down looking arrow on the right)

But a long standing feature request is that WinBox keeps selected columns and does not set them back to defaults for every new session.

What?? It does that perfectly fine for me. Make sure you specify a session file (e.g. ) in your connection.

Make sure you specify a session file (e.g. ) in your connection.

After wiping out sessions and creating a new one it indeed works.
I’m happy to stand corrected!

Winbox is known for its bad handling of incorrect session files (which it creates itself in older versions).
Some very nasty problems can only be solved by starting a new session…
My suggestion is to use a new human-readable format for session files (like XML or JSON), with backward compatibility so new winbox can read old style files but will write new style, and then we can correct errors with a text editor.
I made some effort to decode the session files but there is too little information in the current format to decode/display them in a standalone tool.

hi all!

any news about new winbox version? it’s been quite some time since the last release, something big might be prepared for release behind the curtains?
