I am little bit confused about versioning of winbox. Next list present winbox.exe downloaded from RouterOS itself (version of RouterOS in file name) or from http://www.mikrotik.com/download.html (date YYYYMMDD in file name):
file name version size md5sum
winbox_v3.30.exe 2.2.15 37376 7f79f7e5137990841e8bb53ecf46f714
winbox_v3.31.exe 2.2.15 37376 89280346cfaae9feca131e68405dcc9a
winbox_v4.2.exe 2.2.15 37376 b3cd9d0188ee11221470e330cfffe698
winbox_v4.5.exe 2.2.15 54272 e476497659e86b30601ef4eac23243ef
winbox_v4.6.exe 2.2.15 54272 f0b2aed6bb899596ae011694d6fce496
winbox_20100401.exe 2.2.15 54272 037975f9c428b86f7058052a92f35bd3
winbox_20100430.exe 2.2.16 54272 384f5fa9b1b5e20cca69ca67a18ce067
winbox_20100516.exe 2.2.16 54272 384f5fa9b1b5e20cca69ca67a18ce067
As you can see, version 2.2.15 of winbox has different size versions and all source has different checksum (it means different executable binary).
Can anybody from Mikrotik explain why one version of winbox (2.2.15) exist in two size versions and why executable binary differs per source ?
Does exist some “changelog” for winbox.exe ?
It is possible to public MD5 (or/and SHA) sums of released winbox.exe ?
