I am currently using MacOS with M2 and winbox via Whisky.
There is no problem at all connecting to routers below version 7.12. Every connection with version above 7.13 result in "Could not connect to (IP) Reason: connection refused.)
Windows still can connect to this router via same winbox version but Mac don’t.
I’ve already tried in winbox 3.37, 3.40
Edit: Even with problematic router downgraded to 7.12 can’t connect from Mac. Windows still without any issues.
No connection problems on v7.15.3…
Using the same, on other routers that i updated today no problems at all.
Only one RB5009 (we got bunch of them). A lot of them have same firewall configuration (one company with multiple locations)
Solved.
Changed winbox port for like 4th time and winbox connected without any issues.
I tried 3 different ports - without default one.
Clearly you need more whiskey.
