I have a RB450G deployed (V4.16) that I can telnet into, but when I use WinBox, all the windows are blank; i.e. click on interfaces and the interfaces window is empty. Same with all the others (it did work previously). Rebooting does not resolve the issue, and neither does disabling then re-enabling winbox in ip services.
Has anyone encountered this issue, and is there a fix?
Regards,
I have seen this problem, but in my case the reason was simple. I was using a very bad wireless link where telnet worked ok but the link quality was so poor that most larger packets were lost.
Thanks for the reply. I can confirm that a power cycle did not resolve the issue either. It appeared to work; all the interfaces were in the interface window, but then the session dropped and when winbox was restarted all the windows were blank once more.
I’ve decided to treat the unit as faulty and replace it.
Sorry, didn’t realize you’d sent a post.
The answer is no, I’m using IP’s to connect. What’s interesting is if we connect directly (i.e. PC running WinBox is on the same subnet assigned to one of the Mikrotik interfaces) it works fine, but if the PC is separated by router(s), the interfaces don’t show.
delete the mikotik folder in your windows computer “Appdata” folder, in XP it’s in “Documents and Settings”. Also click “clear cache” in Winbox loader.
