WINDOWS 10/11 L2TP VPN Broken - Mitigation question

Ok I understand we need to remove the KB that was installed noted here: https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/new-windows-kb5009543-kb5009566-updates-break-l2tp-vpn-connections/

But Microsoft says if we: To mitigate the issue for some VPNs, you can disable Vendor ID within the server-side settings.

Any thoughts on if / how we can do so? I cant seem to find the setting.
