Has anyone had success when connecting windows 8.1 to routeros’ sstp or pptp server?
I’ve only got to test one pc with windows 8.1, and my experience is that radius (windows domain) users fail to authenticate when logging in from windows 8.1 client, while users that authenticate locally on the router can log in using pptp - but not when using sstp.
Before upgrading more computers I’d like to hear if others have similar experiences? Any workaround?
Edit: for the reference; All 4 connection methods (sstp+radius, sstp+local auth, pptp+radius and pptp+local auth) work with windows 7/8 to the very same router.
I tried the reg edit but it doesn’t work.
I can use win 8.1 to connect with L2TP to a routerboard 133 running 6.28 but not to an
RB751U 2HnD. Both routers have identical firewall rules, which I’ve disabled during the tests.
I get an “ipsec - invalid length of payload” error. Win 8 and droid connect fine to the 751.
The only thing I can see different is mipsle vs mipsbe.
