Wine and Fedora 7

I have been searching for how to make The Dude work with wine on Fedora Core 7. I have seen several places where people claim to have it working but dont give any detail as to what they had to do to make it work and nothing on FC7. Im running wine-0.9.36 and Fedora build 2.6.21-1.3194.fc7. I can get it to install but cannot get it to connect to our remote server either through remote or secure connection. Im not interested in running it as a server just a terminal. Its claimed that The Dude works with wine but is not listed on the Wine HQ site at all. Im just curious if its something i need to change or if it just wont work. When it goes to connect it just returns error: Connection closed. All im wondering is if there is a solution to this problem or am i just out of luck.

I had the same problem… You must install wine as root, and only if You run Dude as root in wine, then You can connect to Your remote server! I am installed on Suse 10.1, and only this way can I it use!
