Wireguard Interface Invalid Address

Hi there,

I am configuring my RouterBoard 3011.
The router already uses a wireguard interface as a client to use a paid VPN.

I would now like to configure a WireGuard server:

  • I have added a WireGuard interface
  • Then when I have to assign an IP address to this interface (10.0.0.1/24) , the new address is reported as invalid.

What can this be due to?

Because there is a problem with the interface where you want to apply that address to.
That needs to be fixed first.

Best to export your config, edit on PC and remove serial / WAN IP / public keys /…
Then post back in between [__code] quotes for easier reading.

I just add a WireGuard interface without any parametrization, nothing other.

Something is wrong in any case with that interface.
You can already see it because the name is italic.

If I simply add another WG interface on my router, it immediately comes in Running state and no italic name.

What ROS version are you using ?

More to the point

  1. /export file=anynameyouwish (minus router serial number, any public WANIP information, keys etc.)

  2. What type of WAN connection do you have and

  • public/private ?
    -dynamic/static ?
