My VPN connections keep failing with the message “Handshake for peer did not complete after 5 seconds” appearing in the system logs. The internet is UP and I can ping the remote server, however this particular VPN keeps going down. Is there any way of reporting what exactly is breaking the connection?
This can occur when an intermediate device filters the UDP packets between the two hosts.
Yes, I’m pretty sure that my ISP it doing this to break VPN connections.
