Hi,

issue Roadwarrior Wireguard

I have followed this instructons according to page i will provied you with link and i hace also added the following in my RB4011 with ROS7.49

  • wireguard interface to lan group
  • Firewall rule for default port NOT 443

The issue i have is according to Windows 11 laptop i have the vpn is upp but issue ipconfig
and i can see ip address asigned the tunel and DNS but no gateway …

Latpop says no internt and that is true simce Gw ip 10.10.105.1 is missing
but link is upp supposedly but i have my doubts …

How can i troubleshoot the VPN further?
The ping to my own ip OK
Ping to GW Failed
Ping to google Failed

upon adding wireguard loggin Mikrtik tells me :
handshake did not complete after 5 second …

do i need to enable any particular service in mikrotik ??, link below:

Please post config on your PC and Mikrotik device, 2 separate exports.
Check for public keys, serial number, Public WAN IP, … obfuscate those (don’t remove, so we know “something” is there).
Then post both exports between code quotes for easier readibility.

Also, you are sure you have the WG client on your computer from wireguard.org site ? Not from MS Store ?
I have seen some reports lately (I know of 2 at least) where people got it working simply downloading the client from the correct place.
It doesn’t hurt to be sure.
