Wirele-less?!

Hy Mikrotik Community,

i have two problems with my HAP AC Lite, i would like to get help from you or minimum confirmation.

First problem: if i do a freq. usage on the wifi card i get disconnected after a few sec from winbox és if i re-log, than i see an “empty” winbox (the settings are still there, but the windows i had open arent).

Second problem with AC Lite: 2.4Ghz is terrible for me, cannot get a good quality troughput, the max is between 20-30Mbit/s and sometimes much lower.

(I have a new 7.th gen pc with an TP-Link Archer T9E ac1900 pci-e wifi card which ibought because i thought the problem will be my older usb tplink wifi adapter, but no..)

Routerboard firmware and RouterOS are both the newest available stable version and if someone would ask the config, i can only say, right now i deleted everything i configured and use Quick Setup, so basically the configuration is basic.

Mikrotik users around the world, do u have the same problem as me or did i got a faulty hw?

(PS.: freq usage crashes hap mini too, both firmware/routeros are the newest stable available)

Many questions here:

  • are you connected to the router via its wireless interface when investigating the spectrum? Running the spectrum measurement disables the normal operation of the wireless interface.
  • if not,
    • is your Winbox also the latest version?
    • can you try the same using WebFig and starting Terminal mode, or log in using ssh or telnet and use the command line command to check the spectrum?

I assume you attempt to investigate the frequency spectrum as discussed above in order to spot possible interference; using wireless scan should reveal other wireless APs around you, which are the most likely source of interference. Again, this needs to be done while you are connected to the router using a cable.
