Wireless 45-50 Mbit tcp fdx

Hello,

I have 2 pcs of RB532’s@400 MHz and 4 R52 cards and I try to use it in dual nstreme configuration with 5GHz-turbo mode.

With the above config in table, im getting asymmetric 4-5/27-30 Mbit tcp traffic, i cant figure out why could be this happened.

Also I have a plan, as i build a pair of wireless bridges from 2.5 GHz P4 PC’s, with 2-2 R52 cards using them in dual nstreme, 5GHz turbo mode, exact framing. What is yours opinion, what throughput I can squeeze out from this link? I would like to reach 45 Mbps full duplex tcp traffic…

thank you in advance
Adam

Processor speed is going to be the bottleneck.

what do you think, what kind of processor will be able to handle this traffic?

Adam

The PC should work fine. I have a link with an AMD 2.5Ghz on one side and a VIA 533Mhz on the other side and I get 45mbps full duplex in turbo mode. I use a 2.4ghz card for the TX and a 5.8Ghz card for the RX.
I only run it in the G mode(20mhz) now, I don’t need that much speed. But it’s nice to know it’s there if I do need it.

What is the distance and what antennas? :open_mouth:

It’s no record holder at under a mile but one end of the link is inside the building shooting through 1" glass with a mirror tint. The antennas are Pac Wireless panels 19dbi 2.4Ghz and 24dbi 5.8Ghz.

2x pc - core2duo
4x wmia123ag, 5g-turbo
nstreme-dual
mikrotik 3beta9
nstreme with pooling , framer-policy best-fit or exact-size (no diff.) framer limit 4000
77-80mbps full-duplex, cpu ~65-70%

Thank you very much for all of you !

mcozio:
this 77-80 Mbit is udp traffic ?

Adam

tcp or udp, almost the same score
