Wireless AC issues with Manual MCS Rate Setup

Hi All,

sorry just a question.
i have an issue when i make PTP connection with AC Mode.
i disable all A/G data-rate and also i disable all HT-MCS rate ( disable mean uncheck ).
and then i only use VHT MCS, i use VT Supported MCS 0-7, and VT Basic MCS 0-7.
i put all same on both side.

and then when the link established, i only get 325Mbps-80MHz/1S/SGI on both TX/RX statistic. that mean the link only use 1 stream. ( 1 chain )
The link is working fine and super stable.
The Question is, why i can’t get 80MHz/2S/SGI ? what i missed here?
when i put the rate on default ( not configured ) i get 80MHz/2S/SGI  also when i change to A/N mode i get 40MHz/2S/SGI. that means i use 2 stream ( 2 chains )
Thanks, CMIIW, apreciate your feedback and sharing

What is the intention of your configuration?
I often experimenting about this and the only thing I found, is that it get worse with disabled rates.

Use Band selection for something like this!

The only thing that works is dust disable the highest ones if your link is switching the highest and the next all the time and you don’t want this jitter in your Networks

Hi Mistry7, thanks for ur reply.

Yes you are right, the reasons i disable the rates is to prevent “rate flapping”. and the other reason is just try . I try on 20/40Mhz-Ce Only AC it works fine and i got 2S/SGI. But when i use 20/40/80 didn’t works..
