Wireless authentication method used by the most

Just curious about what authentication methods are being used by MT router users…

It seems that 802.1x wasn’t implemented by MT.

What about now?

I notice that EAP-TLS is only EAP based authentication implemented by MT. What about other EAPs like PEAP?

Any documentations on this topics would be appreciated.

I have set my units to autenticate two ways.

  1. Hotspot service that presents a client with a user/password and a screen that says call my telephone for service. This normally picks up a few customers that are just passing through the area and want service a short time.

  2. PPOE service for my dedicated fixed wireless customers. I pre-program there box with a user/password and send it out with my installer.

Both methods access my radius server in order to check to see if the account is on or off.

The radius server is interfaced with my billing system. Also this allows me to re-sell service to other isp’s in the area (which I have to yet do) but my plan is that I can have my radius server use “user@ispname” and then redirect to there radius server.
