Hey. Hey,
I need some advice on the Mikrotik hAP Ax3. 3 days ago my computer started disconnecting, then it could not connect and now it can connect but it only loads the N protocol instead of AX, even when I have AX enabled on my router. The laptop on other AX networks works fine. I have 2 more devices on this microtik but they work on AX protocol. The one that doesn’t work for me still shows N protocol and Wifi 4. Even though I only have 5Ghz enabled on the router.
I’m on the Access List. Do you please know where the error can still be? The settings have not changed at all.
Because other clients do work, it seems to have something to do with this specific computer. Can you remove the device from device manager (assuming you use Windows) and reinstall it?
In addition, you might want to turn on wireless debug logging to see if any relevant messages are there.
And, at last, please share your config:
/export file=anynameyoulike
Remove serial and any other private info and post in between code tags by using the </> button.
It might help to show the settings. All of them minus serial number, possible WAN IP, passwds, …
<rats: now erlinden beat me too it …>
Well but the problem is that the NTB in question connects to other routers as AX seamlessly. That’s why I don’t understand what happened when on hAP Ax3 it starts reporting only as N protocol max 300Mbs. Other devices on hAP AX3 report seamlessly to AX3
Config PC HPElitebook 640 G10

I have the exact same wireless adapter in my laptop, works just fine.
Export of settings on AX3 side, please.
Solved, on that one NB it was giving me a strange frequency range, if I set 5240 it goes already in AX
how do you set “strange frequency range” on notebook ? what exactly does it mean ?
