Hello Freinds,
so i have the following problem :
ISP------- Mikrotik 2011 (DHCP Server) ------WIFI Bridge---------TP LInk (TL-WR940N)--------PC Host.
also Mikrotik is my Main Router with DHCP Enabled , WIFI is as AP Bridge configured.
TP LInk Connected to Mikrotik as WDS Bridge .
but the PC Host connected to Tp LINK cant get DHCP IP , if i use a Static IP on the PC Host it will work well.
before mikrotik there was a Vodafone easybox Router and was every thing working well and also DHCP.
so i tryed AP Bridge and Bridge Mode in Mikrotik without sucess , on DHCP i diabled bootp Support or enabled wont work , Authentification yes or 2 s delay or 10 s wont work .
Log in MIkrotik is DHCP server offering lease (IP ADRRESSE) for (MAC ADDRESSE FROM HOST) to (MAC ADDRESS FROM TPLINK) without success.
im out of Ideas maybe you can help me .
thank you
If DHCP server sees TP-link MAC address in lease request this means that WiFi bridge is not transparent enough. WiFi bridging is generally a slight mess as every vendor reinvented the wheel. And needless to say that all those wheels don’t match. Only standardized option is WDS.
You need WDS enabled on your RB2011 and TP-link.
Hallo MKX thank your for replying , i already tryed that even without sucess.
