Wireless bridge?

Hi,

I live in an apartment with open unsecure wifi. I want to create a wireless bridge to my RB411, but I don’t have access to the modem/router - is this possible? (I know the IP and MAC address but that’s about it)

I realise traffic going out to the Internet won’t be encrypted - the goal is purely to keep my NAS and Chromecast private, and perhaps extend the wireless signal a little.

great - thanks. Does this also apply for networks without captive portal? (I just click on our SSID and it connects instantly, no PSK, no portal).
