I found out strange behavior of RB433. So step by step…
There is set up bridge named “bridge1” where are all interfaces including all wlan interfaces. Let’s consider there is just one wlan interface. This wireless interface’s mode is wds-slave with wds-mode=“dynamic” and wds-default-bridge=“bridge1”. This interface is broadcasting with no problems, so any slave-wds client can connect easily.
When I use winbox and click “scan”, it stops to broadcast and shows all available wireless networks. Now when I click on “Stop” and “Close” buttons in Scan window, it never starts to broadcast again till I manually disable and enable this wlan interface.
When it’s set up as ap-bridge it works with no problem - after scan it starts to broadcast again. Tested hardware: RB433 + R52, R52AH and R52N, ROS v4.x.
Hi… I’m sorry for delay, but I was too busy few last weeks. So… I tested it again on 4.3 and 4.4 with same result. RB just will not start to broadcast after scan if interface is in wds mode. I tried RB433, RB433AH and cards R52, R52N, UB5, R52AH so it seems it is software bug.
I think I found one consequence too: If I reboot RB with interfaces set as WDS, it may happen that some of cards after reboot will not start broadcast till I manually disable and enable it.
