Evening,
I’m new at this forum I hope this is the right area for posting. I have a confusing problem. We are testing throughput from two radios, a RB433AH with a R52h card to a RB411A with same card. The RB411A is in an AP-Bridge setup with WDS-Enabled and the 433 is in Station-WDS with WDS enabled as well. To start, my impression of CCQ (Client Connect Quality) is how much of the available throughput can actually be used, is this true?
Secondly when we have both radios linked up with default data rates and default power set we are able to get a higher throughput as their data rates are either 36 or 48mbps. However in this setup the CCQ is stuck in the mid 50’s and bounces up to 70’s at point, but in doing a bandwidth test between the two devices using the mikrotik bandwidth tester i can get about 10meg bidirectional, but why not more? I know their is some TCP overhead here but i would imagine we should be able to get closer then what we are linked to.
Lastly, when I change the data rates down to 6 tx and 6 rx manually I get a 100% ccq but my data rates get jammed down to 1.5meg- 2meg bidirectional. I would think that with 100% link i should be able to get almost 6meg bidirectional. Any ideas or help would be great, thanks much.
